More on We’re Innovative and the Queen Mary

March 4th, 2010

A recent article in the LA Times about the renovations of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.  We are working on those hotel rooms, remodeling restaurants, doing general tenant improvements and more!  We are so proud to be part of this landmark project.  Come visit the ship … it’s truly awesome!

From the article:

“Long Beach officials now believe the ship is getting its long-overdue upgrades under a new management company that also operates hotels and restaurants in Yellowstone and Grand Canyon national parks and the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.” … “The city turned over management to the Delaware North Cos., a New York hospitality and food service company, in September. Company officials say their strategy is to restore the ship to much of its Art Deco splendor while incorporating modern-day amenities.”

San Diego Kitchen Remodeling “10 Commandments”

February 25th, 2010

As promised, I am starting with the first entry of our best recommendations with respect to your home improvements.  While this is primarily focused on Kitchen Cabinets and Countertops, including the design, selection and complete remodel, the concepts can be applied to Bath Remodeling, Built-In Entertainment Centers and just about any other Home Improvement or Tenant Improvement project you might want to undertake.

Country Kitchen - Clear Pecan Cabinets, Applewood pulls and LivingStone Countertops add up to a warm yet bright and "homey" heart of this Julian home!

1]  Thou shalt do thy homework

Form – What do you want your new kitchen to look like?  Are you creating a showpiece?  Do you want the new “heart of your home” to be wooden and warm or new age and stainless steel?  The choice is completely yours … NOT your contractor’s …  as to what this most important part of your home will say to your guests.  We will work with you to make this new, and to some most important, room look the way you want.

Function – What about the way the kitchen you have now works would you change if you could?  Would you prefer the dishwasher on the other side of the sink?  How about an island to add more counter space?  Maybe revamping the lighting would really bring about a better workspace?  Again, make a wish list and have it ready for your remodeler’s response.  We can help you make it do what you want it to do.

Materials – There are so many new materials available to the consumer that the choices can be overwhelming.  Be careful choose a remodeler that can talk to you about ALL of the products you want to know about … NOT just the one’s they represent.  A good contractor will be abreast of a wide range of choices from which you can select what you desire.

But why choose We’re Innovative?

Our designers can “fill in the gaps” in order to add to your own strengths in the areas of Form and Function.  And, since we handle all of the traditional materials and keep ourselves educated on the latest in new technologies, we have no reason to lead you down any path you don’t wish to tread.  Kitchen Remodeling in San Diego just got a LOT easier!

The result?  Getting WHAT you want, WHEN you want it and at the best value while staying within a single source environment.  It really is the “Innovative” way to go!

We’re Innovative and The Queen Mary!

February 9th, 2010

We worked pretty much all of January to complete a remodel on the Promenade Cafe + 75 rooms on the Queen Mary.  Not only does San Diego’s Kitchen and Bath remodeling company work in your home, but on Elizabeth’s home away from home.

There will be pictures of some of the work on here very shortly, as we will be returning to the Cafe now that all of their furnishings are complete.  In the meantime, here are a couple of happy folks in Long Beach last weekend …

Impromptu We’re Innovative Night Fishing Trip!

February 4th, 2010

Just to further prove that Corporate blogs don’t all have to be about sales, I wanted to post this quick shot from just last night …

Who says you can't mix business and pleasure?

We found this thing just off the coast of San Diego.  It has legs about 3 feet long and a head about 8 inches around, skin like silk and a sense of humor unmatched by most anything else in the sea.  The other thing is a giant squid …

Nice work Mike! Glad we could get you out during your quick visit. = )

Merry Christmas from Tom …

                                                                                                                                                          Christmas 2009

Friends -

Instead of a Christmas card this year, I decided to write a letter.  It may be a bit unorthodox, but “We’re Innovative” ya know!  Bear with me as I make an attempt to express my gratitude, my appreciation and my feelings.  Rambling on I go …

2009 has been a challenging year with ups and downs, victories and difficulties.  I am happy to report that we’re still here, we’re still blessed and we’re still ever humbled by the Grace shown to us everyday.

These challenges temper the steel in each of us.  We show our true colors in times like these.  We are given unending opportunities to share.  We experience our Faith.  We Pray.  We hurt.  We help.  We ask why.  We wonder when.  We give.  We receive.  We are humbled.  We are broken down yet lifted up.  We find ourselves and our God.  We realize what really matters.  We are renewed by the most important of values.  We understand what family really means.  We remember … yes, we remember.

It is with great humility and respect that I thank each of the guys [and gal!] on our team.  There may be no more committed people on the planet.  I am humbled daily by your continued sense of ownership and dedication to our motto … “We Don’t Fail”.

I am equally humbled by, and thankful for, the ever increasing number of repeat and referral clients we receive calls from each week.  This is a tribute to the men and women of We’re Innovative and the greatest thanks that we could ever imagine from our family of terrific customers.  Your loyalty is the reason we are here.  You are appreciated!

If you are a new member of our family, we’re glad to have you and look forward to a long relationship.  Don’t think twice about calling us … for anything.  If we can help, we will help.

While the physical result of our relationship with you may be a remodeled kitchen or bath, a restaurant build out or some other construction project, our pathway to provide this is the chance to touch and know people.  We share our gifts with you as gifts have been shared with us.  It’s not just wood, copper and drywall.  It’s people.  It’s you.

Christmas may be a bit less “commercial” for many of us this year, but it is a wonderful opportunity to get back to the basics.  Love your family.  Hug a child.  Share your smile.  Do one small unselfish thing for someone you don’t know.  There is still the Golden Rule … it has not left us.  Let us not forget!

God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can; and Wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life and
Supremely happy with You, Forever in the next!

Merry Christmas!
